Suicidal behavior in adolescence from the perspective of psychoeducational theories

Suicidal behavior in adolescence is a complex problem resulting from the interaction of biopsychosocial factors characterized by being a misfit behavioral process, built on dysfunctional cognitive premises or traumatic experiences assumed since childhood. Faced with the situation raised, the theories of Educational Psychology (Bandura, Erikson, Freud, Vygotsky, Ausubel, among others) are examined in the integral understanding of the evolutionary cycles of the individual showing the need to promote the development of the human being with a multidisciplinary approach, through family, health and education during childhood and adolescence, thus encouraging the formation of a healthier adult and a better society.
