Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Clinical Case

The aspect of its relevance, bioethical considerations and informed consent must be taken care.  This section will be structured in: Introduction, Clinical case report, Discussion, Conclusion and References. In the case of a clinical file, it must be summarized and indicate only the symptoms and signs, as well as the complementary tests of relevant interest.

Original Article

One aspect to consider is originality. It must take care of bioethical considerations and informed commitment, when experimentation is on human beings, and adopt the criteria established by the World Health Organization for clinical trials. The text is generally divided into sections bearing these headings: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References. In long articles it may be necessary to add subtitles within these sections, especially in the results and discussion sections, in order to make the content clearer.

Review Article

They must be well supported. The references must be no less than sixty (60), preferably from the last five years.

Ensayos

In general, it must take care of its novelty condition and become a contribution of a new vision to address the subject matter.
