Abstract

Higher education institutions have been adopting proven successful strategies in private organizations that help them face the multiple dilemmas they must face to meet strategic objectives. The organizational climate is one of the engines that drives the achievement of organizational goals because it is part of the human component, so its study is a topic of common interest for the parties invited to the success of university management. The objective of this document is to present some reflections for the debate on the importance of the organizational climate in higher education institutions. Based on a documentary review, some key definitions of Organizational Climate, its dimensions, its characteristics, research trends, and particularly, its contextualization in the sector of higher education institutions are identified. As final reflections, it is stated that the Organizational Climate in Educational Institutions is a topic of interest for university management; Likewise, the approach of its conceptualization, dimensioning and measurement is a strategy that can help improve the action plans developed by the groups that make life within the universities.
